Call for Special Session Proposals:
The Organizing Committee of the ICEAS 2026 invites proposals for Special Sessions to be held during the ICEAS 2026 conference.
Overview
Special Sessions aim to complement the regular program by focusing on timely, specialized topics or emerging challenges within the field of Appropriate Technology. These sessions provide a unique platform for researchers, NGOs, and practitioners to organize a focused dialogue on specific regional issues or technical innovations.
Proposal Requirements
Interested organizers should submit a proposal (in English) including the following:
Session Title: A concise title reflecting the core theme.
Organizer(s): Names, affiliations, and contact information of the lead organizer(s).
Session Description: A brief rationale (approx. 300 words) explaining the importance of the topic and its relevance to the ICEAS 2026 theme: "[Theme Name, e.g., Technology for Inclusive Sustainability]".
Potential Speakers: A list of 3 to 5 potential presenters who have agreed or are likely to participate.

Proposal Submission Deadline: March 31, 2026
Notification of Acceptance: April 15, 2026
Final Program Announcement: May 1, 2026
Responsibilities of the Organizer
Recruiting speakers and ensuring their registration for the conference.
Overseeing the abstract submission and review process for the session (in coordination with the Scientific Committee).
Moderating the session on the day of the event.
